Hi, I’m Karen. Some call me KG.

The long version.

I’m the person who notices the missing link, asks the extra question and quietly makes sure the loose ends stop being loose.

I’ve spent more than twenty years organizing behind the scenes — for busy teams, community groups and small businesses that needed someone to translate the noise into a plan. Different industries, same instinct: find the thread, follow it, tidy up as I go.

I genuinely enjoy the things many business owners avoid: organizing the ideas, researching the options, rewriting the awkward paragraph, fixing the DNS setting and deciding which of the fourteen caption drafts is actually the right one.

I'm English by birth, west coast by upbringing and, if you ask anyone who knows me, a little too sarcastic for my own good. What I've never grown out of is the compulsion to make things better. A room, a sentence, a plan, a website. If it can work harder, I'll notice.

Twenty years of volunteering, if you want the actual list: baseball mom, team mom, soccer mom, team manager, board member, twice. Club president. PAC president. Hot lunch lady. The one organizing community events, grad reunions, slideshows and Terry Fox fundraisers. I wasn't the parent on the sidelines. I was behind the scenes figuring out how things ran, then making them run better.

My kids are adults now, and the instinct didn't go anywhere. So for once, I'm taking all of that experience and putting myself first. This business is what that looks like.

I’ll learn your business, tell you what I honestly think and help you make decisions without burying you in marketing jargon. No jargon-heavy proposals, no “value bombs,” no pretending something is simple when it isn’t. Just clear thinking, delivered like a friend who happens to be good at this.

Think of me as the person in your corner who thinks of it so you don’t have to.

English-born.
West Coast raised.
Community-minded.
Detail-obsessed.
Cheeky where it helps.
Thorough where it counts.

Notes on the forest photo

Why this photo stayed.

This isn’t stock scenery. It’s a hike my friends convinced me to do — the kind where halfway up you quietly negotiate with yourself about turning back.

I didn’t turn back. I kept going, one switchback at a time, and eventually the trail opened up. That feeling — overwhelmed, then oriented, then finished — is the same one I want my clients to have when we work together.

Was I dying? Absolutely. Did I make it? Also yes. Both things can be true.

Most people don’t need someone to tell them their business is a mess. They need someone calm walking a few steps ahead, pointing at the next marker. That’s the job. The forest just says it without me having to.

EARLY EVIDENCE

Apparently, it started early

I was sorting the look before I could spell strategy.

The ideas were already popping into my head. So, apparently, were the bucket hats.

The plans got better. The instinct to try something, step back and make it work a little harder never went away.

Your move

Let’s get this off your list.

Tell me what you’re trying to accomplish. If I can help, I’ll tell you how.
